今回の開催地は鳥取砂丘の近くにある砂丘第二海水浴場でした。2年前に同じ場所で開催された時には大雨の中、海岸清掃をしたところです。今回は、うって変わって快晴！早朝から多くのライダーが駆けつけましたが、中には、ツーリング中に、たまたま通りかかってゴミ拾いに参加したという方もいらっしゃいました。ジリジリとした日差しの中、約350名のライダーが海岸清掃に汗を流しました。地元の方は、海水浴の時期を目前に控え、海岸がきれいになったことを喜んでくださっていました。午後には、チャリティオークションやトークショーがあり、のんびりと楽しい時間が流れていきます。WIMAのブースでは、活動紹介とともに、安全運転推進のための「WIMAスマートライダー」ステッカーを販売させていただきました。ご購入いただいた皆さん、ありがとうございました。皆さんの周りの方にも、二輪車事故の削減を目指す「スマートライダー」という市民活動についてご紹介していただけると嬉しく思います。また次回のラブ・ジ・アースミーティングで一緒にゴミ拾いしましょう！

The 20th Love the Earth Meeting

The meeting was held at a beach in Tottori prefecture, famous for Tottori Dune. The same meeting was held at this place 2 years ago in the heavy rain. However, a brilliant sunshine was with us this time! So many riders started arriving at the beach from early in the morning for clean-up activity, and some riders found this event during their touring by chance and joined the event. In total, around 350 riders worked together and beach became very beautiful. The local people were pleased that they are ready for summer when many people come visit here to enjoy swimming. There were also talk shows and charity auction and riders enjoyed relaxed afternoon. At WIMA Japan booth, we introduced our activities and sold stickers of “WIMA Smart Rider” for the promotion of safe riding. We thank for people who interested in it and hoping to the notion of “Smart Rider” be spread from person to person to reduce motorcycle accident. See you at the next Love the Earth Meeting!
